Meet Dr. Kalikstein

Dr. Abraham Kalikstein is a board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist providing comprehensive neurologic care in Brooklyn. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his neurology residency at Northwell Health, where he served as Chief Resident.

He then completed fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, including advanced training in EEG interpretation, EMG and nerve conduction studies, with a particular focus on peripheral nerve and neuromuscular disorders.

Dr. Kalikstein evaluates and treats a broad range of neurologic conditions, including neuromuscular and peripheral nerve disorders, movement disorders, seizure disorders, headaches and migraines, memory and cognitive disorders, stroke-related conditions, and disorders causing numbness, weakness, tremor, dizziness, or nerve pain.

He is double board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. His approach is straightforward and patient-centered, with an emphasis on listening carefully, explaining diagnoses clearly, and developing an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
